ENDESA (ENEL) Extending wind blades to maximize power production

Enel Green Power is looking for a partner that could apply a solution for the extension of the length of the installed blades, by attaching a longer piece of blade to the actual tip, or other types of solutions that could help increase the rotor diameter and consequently the AEP. SOLUTION REQUIREMENTS Submissions should address the following Solution Requirements: Tip extender bonded/connected to the original blade, without replacing it; Extension ≥ 1 meter; Technology readiness level (TRL) ≥ 6; Ready to be installed in 6 months; Cost ≤ 200k€ per wind turbine; Wind turbine generator (WTG) capacity ≥ 600 kW.

Soluciones para ayudar al farmacéutico a facilitar la vida de sus pacientes, mejorando la adherencia a los tratamientos que tienen prescritos

Buscamos soluciones, en cualquier fase creativa -desde ya implementadas hasta pendientes de desarrollo y testeo- que permitan ayudar al farmacéutico comunitario a prestar una mejor atención a los pacientes de su farmacia, facilitando la adherencia a los tratamientos que tiene prescritos. Y es que, según diversas fuentes, se estima que en los países desarrollados tan solo la mitad (50%) de los pacientes crónicos cumplen con su tratamiento; y esta cifra es incluso menor si nos referimos a patologías concretas con una alta incidencia, como la hipertensión, las dislipemias o algunos problemas de salud mental. Precisamente, esta falta de adherencia se ha asociado a una disminución de la calidad y esperanza de vida, hace que la enfermedad se controle peor y puedan incrementarse sus complicaciones y, por añadidura, repercute en un incremento en el número de consultas, hospitalizaciones y pruebas complementarias a los pacientes, con el consiguiente incremento del gasto sanitario. Por tanto, la farmacia, como punto de contacto entre el paciente y el sistema de salud, se erige en clave para facilitar la adherencia a los tratamientos de los pacientes y es precisamente lo que pretendemos lograr en esta nueva edición de eDea Salud: encontrar una solución que sirva para ayudar al profesional de la farmacia a facilitar la adherencia a los tratamientos prescritos que entrega en su botica. Además, la solución que se proponga debe garantizar en todo momento la confidencialidad de la información y debe ser lo suficientemente segura de modo que se garantice el cumplimiento de toda la legislación vigente en materia de propiedad intelectual y de protección de datos nacional y europea. La Fundación Pfizer en su constante búsqueda de innovadores sociales, busca en esta convocatoria de e-DEA Salud soluciones que, poniendo en el centro de la propuesta planteada como solución al paciente, le ayude a cumplir con el tratamiento que tiene prescrito, mejore su calidad de vida y evite problemas por no tomarlo cuando corresponde.

Sacyr: Maximizing the use of Renewables Challenge.

Sacyr: Carbon footprint reduction in construction Challenge

Challenge goals Identify and implement technological solutions and sustainable construction processes that allow us to minimize energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions generated directly and indirectly in construction activities. ● We are looking for innovative solutions that allow us to reduce the consumption of raw materials through the recycling and reuse of waste. ● We are looking for innovative solutions that provide us with sustainable materials that extend the life cycle of our infrastructures. ● We are looking for innovative solutions that help improve energy efficiency and reduce harmful gas emissions generated by the assets used in construction activities. ● We are looking for innovative solutions to reduce the negative environmental impact directly and indirectly associated with industrial processes in civil and commercial construction. We are looking for innovative solutions that: ● Strengthen the reuse and development of new materials from construction and demolition waste. ● Contribute to optimize energy expenditures and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in daily operations. ● Develop a less invasive construction process, ensuring a friendly environment for all stakeholders within the value chain.

Challenge goals Identify and implement technological solutions and processes that: ● Promote the recycling and reuse of waste from renewable energy generation plants and electric car batteries. ● Improve the recycling processes (sorting, separation, sanitization) of plastic and textiles to reduce, as much as possible, the fraction of this waste that is finally deposited in the landfill. We are looking for innovative solutions that: ● Contribute to recycle and revalue waste derived from the development of new industries. ● Improve the recovery rate of complex to treat waste such as textiles or plastic.

Sacyr: New solutions to boost sustainable urban mobility

Challenge goals Identify and implement technological solutions and smart mobility tools that allow us to reduce the environmental impact caused by inefficiencies in urban mobility management in the following categories: ● Urban mobility elements with high congestion rates (intersections, traffic circles, urban highways) We are looking for innovative solutions that allow us to improve safety and efficiency in traffic management, taking advantage of different technologies (traffic lights, smart signaling, cameras, etc). ● Low Emission Zones (urban centers) We are looking for innovative solutions associated with efficient management that improves environmental impact and fluidity/efficiency in urban mobility. ● High-rotation parking zones, RPA (Residential Priority Area), park-and-ride lots, sidewalks, fords and loading and unloading zones We are looking for innovative solutions and new lines of development that allow us to move towards a smart city. Solutions must be easy to implement to ensure scalability. We are looking for innovative solutions that: ● Act as levers capable of reducing emissions of greenhouse gases caused directly or indirectly by urban mobility. ● Guarantee an adequate and fluid development of economic activities in the areas where the solutions are to be implemented. ● Ensure a better quality of life for the people who transit through these urban areas. ● Improve the acoustic quality of the most affected areas during peak hours.

Pfizer: Clinical Study Adherence

We are looking for new, innovative patient-friendly solutions for continuous improvement of investigational product adherence in clinical trials. The solution should also allow for the prediction, assessment, and identification of potential risk factors contributing to clinical trial non-adherence in clinical trial participants. Goals: Find solutions that are patient-focused and engaging, which provide support and motivation to remain adherent with investigational products as well as visit schedules throughout their trial. Provide insights and analytics to better predict the adherence curve for clinical trial participants to allow for appropriate intervention to maintain investigational product adherence. Capture adherence metrics back to the study teams.

Why Challenge Labs?   We want to tackle the big problems that are facing the food sector by bringing together diverse groups of people to find innovative solutions and conveying a set of skills and competencies contributing to enhance innovation capabilities. Provide consumers with products that are high-quality (organic, fresh, nutritious) and affordable (within the same price range as their mass-produced, non-organic counterparts). Encourage the sales of fresh and sustainable Mediterranean products with positive social and/or environmental impact. When and where does the Challenge Lab 2022: Southern Europe take place?  This year, the Challenge Lab 2022: Southern Europe will be a 100%-online event taking place on September 28th and 30th. The first day will include a keynote address, a crash course, and other dynamics to stimulate ideation and solution prioritization.  The second day will be for the presentation of the innovative projects (pitches). It is mandatory for the participants to be present in both days of the hackathon.

ENDESA (Enel) - Innovative technologies to recover Secondary Raw Materials from End-of-Life PV Modules

Enel Green Power (EGP) is looking for the best – from a sustainability, effectiveness, and cost perspective – available technology or process to recover SRM, focusing on Silicon, Indium, Silver and Copper, from End-of-Life PV modules, in order to define a proper sustainable business chain, under a circular economy perspective. The solution shall be applicable in the most relevant countries in which Enel Green Power is developing its business and business cases shall consider local rules and logistic issues. Submissions must address the following Solution Requirements. The solution must: be cost-effective, targeting operating costs in the order of magnitude of 100 €/ton of waste treated and take into account the total cost of recycling (life cycle analysis, LCA) compared to the actual recycling process; be a process targeting zero waste (recycle and reuse 100%); not produce pollutants (or must reduce pollutants compared to the standard process) that could have a negative effect ....
