Energiesparverband (ESV): Start-ups and SMEs with digital solutions for clean energy challenges

Fecha de vencimiento: 28-09-2022
We invite start-ups and SMEs to submit their ideas for digital solutions for clean energy challenges from leading companies. Deadline for submissions is 14 September. Selected start-ups/SMEs will be invited to the Clean Energy Hackathon, held in Linz/Austria on 14-15 November (they will receive a travel voucher). The Hackathon is part of the Urbantech project, an EU funded initiative, which offers up to 54,000 Euro to selected start-ups/SMEs in different funding stages. In addition, they will contribute to energy security and climate neutrality! Over 30 challenges were set by leading energy transition companies. These include globally operating manufacturers of renewable electricity & heating equipment, innovative energy service companies, planners, and industry specialists. The companies are looking for creative software and hardware solutions in the fields of solar energy, batteries, e-mobility charging, energy sharing, energy communities, energy management or smart and sustainable buildings. Fields of interest include: Artificial intelligence & IoT, virtual & augmented reality, automation, robotics & sensors, big data, forecasting and monitoring, predictive maintenance, and drones.

Energiesparverband (ESV): Power grid optimisation by using additional data from smart-meters

Fecha de vencimiento: 28-09-2022
The challenge owner is a regional utility company and their customers’ smart meters provide many additional technical data which could be used for optimising power grid planning (e.g. electrical voltage data). A tool is needed to read out, display and use/process these additional data. Desired result: The challenge owner requires a tool, that enables quick and easy checks of certain locations regarding their own power grid quality (voltage stability, grid safety, …). This is particularly relevant for new installations (PV, EV charging, …).

Energiesparverband (ESV): Optimising central water meter evaluation of a water utility company

Fecha de vencimiento: 28-09-2022
The challenge owner is a regional water supply company with 37 main meters. The meters are read once a month as part of the operational management programme. They are looking for a tool for easy-to-use data processing and calculation of water volumes (transfer, delivery, loss). Desired result: The aim is a compact software to process the central meter readings in order to gain information on water quantities (transfer, delivery, loss). The main goal is to simplify the workflow and minimise potential sources of error.

Energiesparverband (ESV): Load drones to support the installation of PV systems

Fecha de vencimiento: 28-09-2022
Carrying PV panels up on building roofs is physically demanding and time-consuming work. The challenge owner is looking for a reliable and cost-efficient solution in which load drones lift the panels up to the exact spot on the roof where they will screwed on and wired directly by the electrician. The work time for the installation of PV plants is significantly decreased by drones which lift one or more PV panels at the same time up on roofs (average height 15 m). The drones are precisely directed based on the floor plan of the building. An interface to the PV planning software is needed.

Energiesparverband (ESV): Calculation and visualisation tool for adaptive predictive maintenance.

Fecha de vencimiento: 28-09-2022
An application is needed that adaptively calculates required maintenance and repair tasks based on pre-defined measured values (full load hours, temperature etc) and standard values (material fatigue, wear and tear etc) and then visualises the tasks in a 3D building model (based on BIM data). Desired result: The application enables the building management to dynamically extend maintenance intervals depending on the actual load and environmental conditions. It thereby allows to plan the necessary downtimes in advance based on this database and help to prevent unexpected interruptions of operation.

Energiesparverband (ESV): AI based building energy management and control system

Fecha de vencimiento: 28-09-2022
An application is needed for optimised energy management of large buildings that analyses historic user behaviour data (AI). From these data and a range of forecast data (e.g. weather, production planning, employee/office presence), the software develops a control strategy for optimised energy flows. Desired result: The software should allow for a range of optimisation parameters (historic/forecast data). From multiple inputs, the software develops an optimised control strategy. Pre-defined energy consumers are controlled fully automatically, others can be influenced manually and some must always be supplied.

ENDESA (Enel) - Solutions for the development of long-term contracts for electricity from renewables

Fecha de vencimiento: 27-11-2022
This Challenge aims to identify possible regulatory, market and financial solutions that would allow the development of long-term contracts, especially for electricity from renewable sources.

ENDESA (Enel) - Grid resilience for extreme weather events

Fecha de vencimiento: 27-11-2022
ENEL is looking for an estimation of the Resilience Index for the electrical networks over the next 10 years, taking into account these three parameters: an increase in electricity flows and consequent network overload according to international scenarios (IEA, BNEF,...), aging of the grids, and intensification of local extreme weather events. The outcome of this study will be used as new input to the formula described above for the calculation of the Resilience Index.

ENDESA (Enel) - Solutions to improve and speed up O&M of charging infrastructure

Fecha de vencimiento: 27-11-2022
Enel X Way is looking for solutions that allow the operator to view the charging infrastructure as a whole (internally, externally and through its HMI), through a common device (such as a mobile phone or tablet), and immediately receive instructions contained in the manuals or specific suggestions left by other operators in previous interventions.

ENDESA (Enel) - Safeguarding Biodiversity Prior to the Installation of Electric Distribution Assets

Fecha de vencimiento: 02-10-2022
We are looking for an innovative solution to minimize the impact on biodiversity and also to protect it (i.e., habitat recovery, reforestation and the reintroduction of species) in all phases (from design to construction). We are seeking a working/operative perspective that can be tailored for use in different geographical areas to: Identify practices and solutions (including technological) to map local species and habitats to be protected from the very first phase of the asset project. Detect the smartest solution in order to actively reduce/mitigate/offset the involvement and, in a concrete way, in order to protect biodiversity, thereby obtaining benefits for the surrounding environment. For example, in the case of a 10 km overhead line construction, we are looking for a solution that can minimize as much as possible the effect on biodiversity and, in the case of residual impact, the best solution to offset in the surrounding area (i.e., optimizing land occupancy). Define a set of solutions to be applied if and when a forestry habitat is impacted.
