Vermaat Groep – Get to know the system for waste flows

Fecha de vencimiento: 12-07-2021
In our journey towards a circular economy, it is important that we change our supply chain and ourselves in choosing the right packaging without using new raw materials that are extracted from the earth. There is little transparency and knowledge when it comes to our residual flows (packaging) and the options after usage. Waste processors are very conservative and traditional, therefore we can only innovate by collaborating with startups. The collaboration on developing a measurement system for waste flows which could be of interest to the entire market. Developing packaging that can really get a second life, including a return / collection system. Setting up a collaboration to bring this packaging flow turn-key to the (industrial) market. Vermaat can play the role of integrator in the market.

Heineken – Recycle more, recycle better

Fecha de vencimiento: 12-07-2021
Heineken is looking for innovative solutions to quickly recover our post consumer glass packaging from the consumer and return it to our converters or recycling companies creating closed loops and increasing the recycled content. As collection and sorting are key elements to recovery, we are looking for: - Inspiring ways to engage with the consumer to increase the amount of high-quality packaging responsibly disposed. - Create mechanisms for simple, separated, responsible disposal of glass. - Track the reliability and results of this system

DPD – Improving waste footprint in the full supply chain

Fecha de vencimiento: 12-07-2021
Design a way that allows less plastic to be used in packaging. How do we get less or no plastic around packaging? Packages are delivered on a pallet with a plastic wrap around it. How to reduce the plastic wrap around pallets. Devise an optimal supply chain in which packaging is (re)used as efficiently and sustainably as possible. This can be linked to writing a subsidy project (Dutch or European). Solution for easier separation of waste

opnMe – Modelling of tertiary lymphoid structure formation for Boehringer Ingelheim

Fecha de vencimiento: 29-07-2021
Boehringer Ingelheim is looking for human in vitro translational and in vivo models to investigate the formation of TLS within tumors, tumor-like structures or tissues (defined in vivo models, cell line 2 or 3D, organ-on-a-chip, explant, else). Eventually, these models should enable testing and characterizing therapeutic strategies to induce TLS formation in patients and improve immunity against cancer and pathogens or to disrupt TLS in autoimmune settings.

G&W – Locomotive emissions reduction

VMCC – Low carbon fuels for marine vessels

Fecha de vencimiento: 23-07-2021
The maritime sector accounts for 3.6 million tonnes of CO2e per year in British Columbia, 8.8 million tonnes of CO2e in Canada and over 1 billion tonnes of CO2e worldwide, representing close to 5.5% of BC’s annual emissions, 1.2% of Canada’s annual emissions, and 3% of total annual global anthropogenic emissions. Under a business-as-usual scenario and if other sectors of the economy reduce emissions to keep the global temperature increase below 2 degrees Celsius, shipping could represent some 10% of global GHG emissions by 2050. Global technology trends—such as decentralization, digitization, electrification, and implementation of sustainable practices—are accelerating opportunities for emission reductions and economic growth while deepening the integration between these strategic focus areas.

VMCC – Reduction of long-haul shipping energy consumption

Fecha de vencimiento: 23-07-2021
The VMCC and its members seek products or processes that reduce fuel consumption and/or GHG/CAC emissions of international long-haul ships. Solutions included in this focus area develop products or processes that address the high energy consumption required by international long-haul ships: - Solutions proposed may contain one or a series of technologies which would yield a reduction of fuel consumption and/or GHG and/or CAC emissions; this scope does include modifications and upgrades to engine room equipment, such as innovative drive technologies. - Solution can meet all Canadian and international marine safety standards and regulations. - Solution should have an operational prototype that can be incorporated into a project at the stages of field piloting, commercial demonstration or first-of-kind commercial implementation.

VMCC – Optimisation of energy use at port

Fecha de vencimiento: 23-07-2021
The VMCC and its members seek end-to-end technology solutions which could deliver optimization of energy use and improved energy efficiency with respect to anchorage of vessels at ports within or serving the Salish Sea. Additionally, the VMCC will provide in-kind resources through its Membership to successful projects, including but not limited to the following: - Physical assets to host demonstrations; - Equipment donations; - In-kind technical help and support; - High-profile visibility
