Kraft Heinz is seeking innovative solutions from start-ups, academics, and entrepreneurs developing sustainable flexible packaging solutions for food protection. Three finalists will pitch live on stage at the Rethinking Materials Summit in London, reaching a global audience of materials stakeholders, with the winner being announced on stage at the summit. The winner will receive invaluable feedback and insight from Kraft Heinz’s Global Innovation team as well as a invitation to their facilities.

ENDESA (ENEL): Seamless Energy Connectivity: a portable wireless device that can communicate with Enel’s Smart Meters via RF Communication

Enel Grids is looking for a portable device that can be carried by field technicians in order to communicate with the device for reading/programming activities at a distance from the smart meter. This device must be portable, small and lightweight so that it can be carried in the technician’s pocket or else in a small bag, with a rechargeable battery and an external RF antenna that can be removed, for carrying or for when it needs to be changed, and with the possibility to interface with a smartphone for meter management. The connection is made using the 169 MHz radiofrequency channel Wireless M-Bus which is already available in some types of Smart Meter, encapsulating the Meters and More protocol that is necessary for exchanging information. The acquisition, and compliance, of all necessary standards and instructions to provide the functionalities described is the responsibility of the Participant.
ENDESA (ENEL): An innovative portable device that can communicate via Power Line Communication with Enel’s smart meters

Enel Grids is looking for a portable device that can be carried by field technicians in order to connect with – and verify from a distance – the smart meter in question. The connection is made by attaching the device to the physical electric wires that connect to the meter and then using a powerline protocol to interact and communicate with it, specifically the version used by Enel in Spain known as “Meters and More.” The device must have a display for basic configuration, connection procedure, diagnostics, information and basic feedback for the technician. At the same time, the device must have a Bluetooth connection to enable meter access from a smart phone and provide advanced functionality. Proposals are accepted from all over the world, but the testing phase will be conducted in Spain.
